See an Early (Perhaps the First) 3D Animated Piece from the Founder of Pixar
This animated clip was done by Ed Catmull (who would go on to found Pixar) in 1972 with some help from Robert Ingebretson. Ingebretson's son first posted this clip on the Nerd Pulse Art site.
