Box Office: Paranormal Activity 3 Tops Predecessor

Paranormal Activity 3 debuted with an estimated tally of $54 million topping the opening weekend of the first sequel in the franchise from last year, which took in $41 million, and also setting a record for September/October opening weekends. The other two new (quasi) genre entries did not do so well with their debuts as The Three Musketeers only made it to the Number 4 slot with $8.8 million in ticket sales and spy-spoof Johnny English Reborn flopped domestically at the Number 8 spot with a $3.8 million tally.
