Box Office: Sherlock Holmes Detects a Winner in the Theaters

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows kicked off the Christmas holiday rush at the Box Office, claiming the Number 1 slot and an estimated $40 million tally. That's down from the $62 million that the first movie in this franchise opened with two years ago, but still nothing to sneeze at. Taking the Number 3 slot was Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol with an estimated take of $13 million. Those numbers reflected a limited release, though, whit its wide release scheduled for Wednesday. You can read more about the weekend Box Office results at this link.
