Giorgio Moroder Presents Metropolis: Special Edition

Description: In 1984, Academy Award®-winning composer Giorgio Moroder (Midnight Express, Flashdance) introduced Fritz Lang’s science fiction epic METROPOLIS to a new generation of moviegoers. Working in collaboration with film archives around the world, he supervised a special reconstruction of the film, with color tinting, fewer inter-titles, and newly restored footage. A pioneer in the field of digital music, Moroder backed this special edition with a throbbing new score, punctuated with pop songs from some of the biggest stars of the early MTV era: Freddie Mercury, Pat Benatar, Adam Ant, Bonnie Tyler, Loverboy, and others. Unavailable on home video for more than two decades, Kino Classics is now proud to revive the 1984 edition of METROPOLIS, an historic achievement in film restoration, and a dramatic vehicle for the visionary music of Giorgio Moroder.

Also available on Blu-ray

Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere (15th Anniversary Edition)

Description: Neil Gaiman's (The Sandman, Coraline) first TV miniseries, co-written with Lenny Henry (The Lenny Henry Show, Chef!), brings viewers to an ambitious exploration of a London with two worlds. When office drone Richard Mayhew (Gary Bakewell) rescues a mysterious girl named Door (Laura Fraser, He Knew He Was Right), he unwittingly finds himself part of her quest to learn why her parents have been killed. The next thing he knows, Mayhew's life changes forever as he's pulled into the fantastical world of London Below, far from his mundane life in London Above. Pursued by the murderous Messrs. Croup and Vandemar, Door and Richard, with the help of Hunter and the Marquis de Carabas, attempt to find the Angel Islington, who knows the secret behind the murder of Door's family, and possibly a way for Richard to go home.
